Each week we highlight restaurants demonstrating truth and love with amazing, inspiring and selfless acts that make the world just that little bit better.

  1. LADRO Tap (Melbourne, Australia): LADRO Tap has an exchange in place with local farmers where they swap compost fertiliser made from 100% organic matter for produce. They also donate compost to local community gardens and schools.

  2. The Breakfast Club (London, UK): At The Breakfast Club, staff are offered the opportunity to partake in an annual marathon challenge, where they are given a six month training program with paid time off to train.

  3. Basic Kitchen (USA): Charleston restaurant Basic Kitchen holds a free monthly meditation session in the restaurant space followed by a family-style dinner for participants, in collaboration with Still Soul Studio.

  4. RE-NAA (Stavanger, Norway): Re-NAA arranges a monthly three-course dinner focusing on one of their producers, giving them a chance to meet a bigger audience and showcase their produce.

  5. Burro e Salvia (UK, pictured): London-based restaurant Burro e Salvia holds weekly pasta-making workshops as an educational program, where they emphasise the benefits of making food from scratch and demonstrate how to do so.

  6. Café Troppo (Australia): On Friday nights, Café Troppo opens its restaurant space for live local music. On Saturday nights, it does the same for local events and exhibitions.
