  1. Esther’s Kitchen (USA): Nevada restaurant Esther’s Kitchen throws an annual food festival called Vegas Unstripped to celebrate independent restaurants in Las Vegas.

  2. Cornersmith (Australia): At Sydney's Cornersmith, coffees and meals are traded for homegrown produce brought in by customers.

  3. Caravan King’s Cross (UK, pictured): London restaurant Caravan King’s Cross supports non-profit organization Kitchen Social by adding an optional £1 to the bill during every school holidays in 2018, which helps in the delivery free nutritious meals to school children around the city.

  4. Al Mercat (Costa Rica): San José's Al Mercat developed Vamos a la Feria, an initiative that teaches Costa Ricans to buy produce from local farmers’ markets.

  5. Peppermint Bay Hotel (Australia): Tasmania’s Peppermint Bay Hotel sends leftover baking to its local women’s shelter.

  6. Actinolite Restaurant (Canada): Ontario eatery Actinolite Restaurant is collaborating with a local farmer to create a program called Carrots for Kids, which teaches children to nourish themselves with good quality food by bringing quality vegetables into schools.
