Sharing truth and love each week with the amazing, inspiring initiatives of our restaurants

  • Elijah’s Kitchen (Darwin, Australia): Staff at Elijah’s Kitchen are drawn from Indigenous communities, and leftover food from the restaurant is given to Darwin’s homeless.

  • Juniper (Ridge Spring, USA): South Carolina restaurant Juniper hosts an annual dinner for organisation Helping Hands. Called Chef’s Extravaganza, the dinner began fifteen years ago to raise money for a local home for displaced children. It has raised over $150,000 to date.

  • Candlenut (Singapore): Candlenut created the #myperanakanstory initiative to allow people to share their stories and the dishes that are significant to them.

  • Alma (Lisboa, Portugal): Every year Alma hosts the Sangue na Guelra (Chefs with Guts Festival), which attracts many people to the area and shines a light on local cuisine, chefs, artisans, producers and more.

  • Little Seed (Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia): Little Seed runs a pay-it-forward meal gift system community program called Toowoomba’s Table. Food is prepared locally and given to local people who are struggling, free of charge.

  • Penny Cluse Café (Burlington, USA): This Vermont café works with The Howard Centre to hire disabled people and keep them employed in a dynamic work place.
