Juniper (Ridge Spring, USA): South Carolina restaurant Juniper hosts an annual dinner for organisation Helping Hands. Called Chef’s Extravaganza, the dinner began fifteen years ago to raise money for a local home for displaced children. It has raised over $150,000 to date.
Candlenut (Singapore): Candlenut created the #myperanakanstory initiative to allow people to share their stories and the dishes that are significant to them.
Alma (Lisboa, Portugal): Every year Alma hosts the Sangue na Guelra (Chefs with Guts Festival), which attracts many people to the area and shines a light on local cuisine, chefs, artisans, producers and more.
Little Seed (Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia): Little Seed runs a pay-it-forward meal gift system community program called Toowoomba’s Table. Food is prepared locally and given to local people who are struggling, free of charge.
