“Our aim at Harbour Lights is to ensure that our guests leave with big smiles and happy tummies. We love serving our guests the nation’s favourite comfort food, traditional fish and chips. We want our guests to feel that we have knocked it out of the park on freshness and quality while ensuring we minimize our impact on our oceans and environment. The crispiest batter, flakiest fish, and the most moreish of chips every time.”
The Famous Five (MSC codfish, chips, mushy peas, bread and butter, and a cup of tea); The Triple Treat (three local Cornish fish battered or grilled, served with half chips and half salad); and the children’s meals, served in a beach bucket.
Any restaurant that has been awarded three stars by the Sustainable Restaurant Association is a friend (and hero) of ours. They do everything you would expect of such a highly rated establishment in terms of correct fishing practice, cleaning, recycling, and community involvement... AND in 2017 they inaugurated International Mushy Pea Day involving songs, dancing, recipes, and celebrities. Fish and chip shops as far afield as Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, and the Falkland Islands, joined in the silliness at mushypeaday.com. This year, they intend to make it even bigger and better. Talk about bringing the world together with great food: if you can do it with mushy peas, you can do it with anything!
