“Our restaurant is located in an old brick warehouse at the junction of several beautiful historic neighborhoods south of downtown. It’s a distinct Tucson meeting place with a warm sense of community. Since we opened our doors in January 2014, we’ve worked with an ever-growing number of local farmers, ranchers, artisans and entrepreneurs. These folks sustain our community and our business with their hard work and love for their craft.”
Huevos Rancheros with roasted chili, cilantro-serrano pesto, pinto beans, and corn tortillas; smoked beet sandwich with creamy slaw and local pecan “cheese” on sourdough ciabatta; scafata with snap peas, snow peas, salad turnips, beet greens, kale, swiss chard, and carrots with garlic scape, dill goat’s cheese, and poached eggs.
In the center of the up-and-coming 5 Points neighborhood is this unassuming café that’s turning out some of the most remarkably fresh lunch and breakfast plates in Tucson. The café is the brainchild of Jasper Ludwig and Brian Haskins, who set out with the goal of creating a community oriented café that supports local agriculture.
To that end, 5 Points also hosts a Sunday farmers’ market: “It’s the only market in Tucson thats free for farmers, butchers, and producers to sell at, so they keep 100 percent of their profits.” Come for breakfast, stay for your grocery shopping. What’s not to love?
“It’s a neighborhood eatery strutting its casual atmosphere with fine-quality food.” –Laura Greenberg, Edible Baja Arizona
