Nutrition may be the foundation of The Drawing Board, but the restaurant’s vibrant flavors and warm service are the building blocks of its success. The downtown Petaluma restaurant is serious about locality: the vast majority of its ingredients come from surrounding Sonoma County, right down to the foraged botanicals used in its cocktails. You may find coastal sea vegetables in a dish of asparagus and burrata, or dried Douglas Fir tips dusting the gravlax. Owner Rosie Wiggins opened the restaurant with the mission to make customers feel good. Between her open, airy dining room and nuanced, beautiful food, her mission has certainly been accomplished – and then some.
