Each week we highlight restaurants demonstrating truth and love with amazing, inspiring and selfless acts that make the world just that little bit better.

1. Ormeggio at the Spit (Sydney, Australia): New South Wales restaurant Ormeggio at the Spit created a group called Council of W.A.R. (Women and Restaurants), which meets monthly to share advice and discuss issues such as work visas.

2. Dinette (Pennsylvania, USA): Dinette raised over $3000 for the American Civil Liberties Union when Trump instituted his immigration ban by starting a gift card matching campaign. Anything customers donated, the restaurant matched dollar-for-dollar with gift cards.

3. Indian Accent (India): New Delhi restaurant Indian Accent partnered with an NGO for visually impaired people to create menus in Braille.

4. The Dairy (London, UK): Robin Gill, chef and owner of The Dairy, is trekking across the Simien Mountains in Northern Ethiopa this October to raise money for Action Against Hunger.

5. Aan Sjuuteeänjd (Netherlands): Aan Sjuuteeänjd sells 'Earth water', where part of the proceeds are donated to projects to produce clean drinking water.

6. Catalpa (Missouri, USA – pictured): Catalpa hosts small educational dinners focused on ingredients produced in mid-Missouri, such as their ‘Honey Dinner’, to celebrate and support local producers.
