Dining at Onyx is an experience – allow several hours for a degustation menu – which highlights just how much dedication the team has put into perfecting their work. The restaurant has been awarded one Michelin star every year since 2011, and in 2018 became the first in Hungary to receive a second. The whitegloved waiters deliver impeccably decorated plates containing some of Hungary’s finest ingredients (which Chef Ádám Mészáros discovers on his frequent sourcing field trips to Hungarian farmers and producers). His catfish is from a small farm near Lake Balaton, and his caviar is from the best Hungarian sturgeon farm. Another farmer grows special types of microgreens just for him, and his water buffalo and goose liver are carefully sourced from the best farms. Onyx is all about elegance and quality, which guests experience from the start to the finish of a meal.
