Each week we highlight restaurants demonstrating truth and love with amazing, inspiring and selfless acts that make the world just that little bit better

  • Baker Miller (USA): Chicago bakery Baker Miller founded the Artisan Grains Collaborative (AGC) which works with grain farmers, chefs, millers and more to achieve higher quality grain in the Midwest.

  • Yangshuo Mountain Retreat (China): Yangshuo Mountain Retreat sponsors children with brittle bone disease by providing in-home tutoring and summer camps.

  • A Tiny Place (Australia): Chef and owner of Tasmania's A Tiny Place, Philippe Leban, is involved in the establishment of traditional Indigenous fisheries in order to promote the supply of fish directly from descendants of the original people of the land.

  • Ceviche (UK): London's Ceviche helps provide education to children in Peru through the charity Amantani by raising money through the restaurant and creating fundraising events, such as a Meet My World edible cinema experience.

  • Abastos 2.0 (Spain): This Santiago de Compostela eatery worked with Greenpeace to develop a guide identifying seasonal fish around the world in the hopes of preventing overfishing.

  • North Pond (USA): Chicago's North Pond created organization Solidarity Soup to support immigrant communities.
