“A stone’s throw from the waterside, we offer freshly prepared food with excellent service. Our coffee is fair trade, organic, and freshly roasted weekly to give that wonderful flavour. We source Cornish fish and local meats and vegetables. Most of our wine and soft drinks are organic or biodynamic, other wines are again from small artisan suppliers. Our milk (and whatever we can source) is organic and our artisan bread is delivered daily. Although we offer a range of dishes, we are also well known and loved for our extensive and delicious vegetarian options.”

Nestled on Bristol’s once-industrial harbourside, The Olive Shed’s greatest strength is the sweeping, panoramic views it offers, from the masts of the SS Great Britain and the multicoloured houses of Cliftonwood across the shimmering water to Colston Tower. In the age of Instagram, that’s all you really need to put bums on seats. But they have great cooking, too. Simple Mediterranean dishes made – because this is Bristol – with produce that is organic and fair trade wherever possible.
