Buvette

What they say

"Established in the historic and charming West Village neighborhood in New York, Buvette has been the spot to walk in at any time of day to enjoy an espresso, a lunch with an old friend, or a cocktail at the bar in the early hours of the morning. We hope you're able to join us the next time you're passing through."

Signature Dishes

Tartinette with cultured butter and anchovies; roast chicken salad with haricot verts and new potatoes in mustard vinaigrette; brandade de morue: house-cured salt cod whipped with olive oil and potatoes.

What we say

Opened in early 2011 by Chef Jody Williams, Buvette is inspired by European traditions that honor a history of craft and design where each delicious detail evokes a sense of story, place and delight. They are also inspired by the slow food movement and sustainable, organic wines.

What others say

"My go-to is Buvette, the preposterously charming café that makes you feel like you’re in Paris, except that the energy and bustle and banter of regulars remind you that you can only be in New York City. I wedge into a seat at the always-full marble-topped bar and my work-bound chest begins to untighten. Maybe it’s the glass of Sancerre that the bartender talks me into (not much convincing needed). Or maybe it’s the fact that I’m debating between a roast chicken salad with a mustardy vinaigrette or a cloud of custardy scrambled eggs." –Adam Rapoport, bon appétit
