“We love to make tasty dishes that people want to eat again and again. We’re also passionate about keeping it sustainable and work with Vertical Future, who deliver their brilliant produce by electric bike – delicious, organic micro herbs grown in London. As part of our community, at our Brick Lane restaurant we make pancakes for the local primary school for pancake day and prepare sandwiches for the homeless.”

Blanchette pulls off the wonderful trick of being incredibly French and incredibly “new Soho“. You sit up at the bar on an architectural stool, looking at tiled scenes of rural Southern France while sexy young kids with big hair and fashion spectacles, narrow black jeans and vintage Nikes, play edgy tunes and flick you a menu of cheeses and charcuterie followed by a tight little set of dishes for sharing. There are frogs’ legs and chou farci but different, modern; and then maybe a sharp-as-hell lemon tart with a gin and parsley sorbet, a couple of tuile biscuits, and a perfect espresso. Just dreamy.
