“Before we opened Pidgin we ran a supper club, so, for us, there’s always been that element of the homely, intimate dinner party, of inviting people into your place and giving them an incredible time. That’s the most important thing for us – having people leave our restaurant absolutely buzzing about what they’ve just experienced, not just because the food is great but because the whole package is special.”
A four-course menu that changes weekly.
A brilliant little restaurant offering endless surprises and delights in an unlikely part of town (although Henry Dimbleby, founder of Leon, lives a few doors up the road) where, because they change the menu each week and have a very accurate idea of how many covers they are doing, food waste is almost non-existent. Presently, they have created around 560 dishes since opening, plus snacks and vegetarian dishes. Fixed-menu dining is one of the best ways to take restaurants – especially small restaurants – into a sustainable future and Pidgin is leading the way with style and class.
“This fixed-menu idea is nothing new, but the Pidgin team have made it fresh and vibrant as a citron pressé. I’d happily go back for their homechurned Jersey cream butter alone.” –Marina O’loughlin, The Guardian
