“With Nutbourne we wanted to create a community restaurant for Battersea locals. We both live in and love Battersea, and we hope that we’ve created a space that caters to all the tastes of our local community. We serve wild British food in a farm-to-table style from our barbecue open grill. We source our fruit and vegetables from local farmers in the countryside, and this ensures trade into the local community. We also source meat from our brother and wine, fruit, and vegetables from our neighbours, as well as wine from our parents’ vineyard, so we all know where it comes from and are personally invested in how it’s grown.”

Nutbourne is bringing the joys of Sussex country life and country community values to the city. For example, they have a communal coffee table where locals can sit and enjoy the sunshine and they have organized a farmers’ market out the front on a Saturday so locals can come and purchase their weekly fruit and vegetables, then stop in for a coffee or glass of Nutty (their nickname for wine from the Nutbourne vineyard).
