“Our goal is to empower our community to lead a healthy and environmentally conscious lifestyle. We are not only passionate about the impact that veganism has on animal welfare but also the huge environmental benefits that come from following a vegan lifestyle. That’s why we like to try and boost our credentials even further by constantly making and effort to reduce our carbon footprint. Not only have we won many awards, but all profits generated by The Gallery Café go straight back into St. Margaret’s House, so by hanging with us, you’ll not only enjoy award-winning food, drinks, and good vibes, you’ll also be helping to support the local community.”
Superfood breakfast bowl; “The Gallery Burger”; and full English breakfast.
St Margaret’s House has been doing good work in Bethnal Green since the days of Jack the Ripper and Sherlock Holmes. One hundred and thirty years later, they are still working to promote positive social change by bringing people together to play a more active part in their community, providing spaces for residents to shop, learn, create, and enjoy a diverse cultural programme. And, of course, to eat in a café as passionately loved by its regulars as it is garlanded with awards for its sympathetically priced, ethically sourced meat-free food, from avocado on sourdough toast to a full English with vegan sausage and scrambled tofu to quesadillas filled with refried beans, vegan cheese, tomato, and wilted spinach.
