“Independent in spirit and rich in design. A name indicative of a private address; spaces that feel homefrom- home. Handpicked (rather than off-the-shelf) interiors, tailored to the habits and tastes of locals. A welcoming bar with delightful drinks from morning coffee to nightcaps (and everything in-between). This is how we’re redefining what a pub can be… Our philosophy is to create interesting, tasty, and virtuous dishes that can be enjoyed by everybody. Great value, genuinely inspiring dishes are made with locally sourced, sustainable produce, scratch-cooked on site and made with love.”
House salad with warm quinoa, edamame, thyme-baked squash, roast beets, broccoli, sesame wakame, and miso dressing; British grilled sea bass and chips with pea hummus, watercress, and crème fraîche tartare; and roast butternut squash curry with sticky short-grain brown rice, coriander, and toasted coconut.
If you’re fed up with identikit faux-distressed, mock-Victorian, hipster-driven gastropubs (and we’re not saying we are) then these wonderfully original, bright, breezy, modern, beautifully designed, and independent bars will come as a blessed relief. As will the way they put sustainability at the heart of everything they do. They are SRA three-star rated and we have always been especially impressed by the way they rejected all packaging from day one and insisted on deliveries arriving in returnable or recyclable containers.
A unique collection of independent neighbourhood bars, more home than high street
